RIGHT TO VOTE FOR SERVING SOLDIER - SUPREME COURT ORDER

In view of the interim order given by
the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Service personnel in peace areas are
eligible to vote at their place of posting without any stipulation.
Service personnel who were residents at peace station as on 01 Jan
14 are eligible to be registered as general voters where
registrations for 2014 Lok Sabha elections are still open. As per
the ECI Press Note dated 05 Mar 2014 the poll dates and the last
date for registration are as given below :- |
