Savings Bank Money Order (SBMO)
Savings Bank (SB) Money Orders will be accepted like other money orders except that no commission will be charged on such money orders.
 
Holding an account in a post office (preferably nearer home) and regularly  remitting in to the account . The government pays the MO commission.
 
MO is remitted to the Postmaster who is holding the account.
 
Remittance to branch postmaster does not arise as the accounts  are standing in the SO
only.(No brach office can independently open or operate accounts)
 
SBMOs will be made payable to the Postmaster of the Head Post Office/Sub Post Office concerned and not to the Branch Postmaster. Ordinary MO form will be used for the same.
